uis Vuitton Malletier and Marc Jacobs Trademarks L.L.C ., both part of LVMH, the world’s leading luxury group, today announced that they have concluded a settlement agreement with Burlington Coat Factory (BCF) under which BCF has agreed to refrain from future counterfeiting and infringing activity upon Louis Vuitton’s and Marc Jacobs’ intellectual properties.

Louis Vuitton has also concluded settlement agreements with the two named suppliers, G & L Handbags Co., of California, doing business as Four Seasons and Industech International Inc.

Louis Vuitton has been further granted final consent judgments and permanent injunctions by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in the suit it filed in 2004 against Burlington Coat Factory and G & L Handbags Co., of California with Industech International Inc added later, for alleged trademark counterfeiting and infringement, false designation of origin, trademark dilution, copyright infringement, unfair competition, injury to business reputation, and false and deceptive business practices, and also received monetary compensation from BCF, G & L Handbags and Industech.

Specifically, BCF and Industech are permanently restrained and enjoined from, among other things:
• Manufacturing, importing, exporting, promoting, advertising, marketing, distributing, displaying, selling or offering to sell merchandise identified by Louis Vuitton in the action as infringing on Louis Vuitton’s intellectual properties, including the famous Multicolore Monogram and S-Lock design trademarks.
